About Us
As we developed plans for our Nordic spa experience, we searched for outdoor saunas that could withstand Canadian winters while delivering the level of quality, design, and experience we envisioned for our guests. What started as a project for ourselves quickly became something much larger.
After importing our first batch of saunas for Porters Peak, we found ourselves with a limited amount of additional inventory. To free up warehouse space, we decided to offer these units to the public with no expectations beyond helping a few local customers.
The response was immediate.
The saunas sold almost overnight.
Curious whether this was simply good timing or genuine demand, we produced another batch. Once again, the response exceeded anything we anticipated. Before long, customers from across Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and everywhere in between were reaching out looking for the same experience.
What began as a small wellness project at a glamping resort had evolved into something much bigger.
Today, Solitude Sauna serves customers from coast to coast across Canada. Our mission remains the same as it was from the beginning: to provide beautiful, durable outdoor saunas that help people slow down, recover, reconnect, and prioritize their well-being.
We have traveled overseas, visited manufacturing facilities, refined designs, tested materials, and worked directly with our partners to build products specifically suited for Canadian climates. Every decision from our materials and heaters to our construction methods and customer support is made with quality, longevity, and ownership experience in mind.
At Solitude Sauna, we believe a sauna is more than a product. It is a space to recover after a long day, spend meaningful time with family, improve physical and mental wellness, and create moments of stillness in increasingly busy lives.

Avery
Co-Founder
Avery has spent years creating unique Airbnb experiences throughout the Halifax area, always guided by his #1 value: fun. His passion for bringing people together through adventure led him to build a Nordic spa at Porters Peak Resort, where the idea for Solitude Sauna was born. Today, his focus is creating spaces that encourage people to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy meaningful moments together.
Steve
Co-Founder & Engineer
Steve is a seasoned engineer with 18 years of military service, where he travelled the world developing a deep appreciation for adventure and the outdoors. He has a passion for escaping busy cities and creating environments that promote rest and relaxation. With a keen eye for design and functionality, Steve ensures every Solitude Sauna is thoughtfully engineered to maximize comfort, efficiency, and the overall sauna experience.
Kaleb
Co-Founder
A former professional football player with a background in finance, Kaleb is an entrepreneur driven by a passion for adventure, health, and performance. Having experienced firsthand the importance of investing in physical recovery and long-term wellness, he is committed to helping others create spaces where they can disconnect from everyday life and prioritize their well-being.
